She had a lot to live up to, and she did not disappoint. We were trying to accomplish the impossible: a cute house, an even cuter neighborhood and a minuscule budget. Prior to meeting Carly we had combed the listings ourselves looking for the perfect home. Cristen Lincoln is a great Real Estate agent, and highly recommended.
She was my agent for both selling a house and buying one (three years apart). For the sale, Cristen came in and succeeded where another agent (from a huge national chain realty company that shall remain nameless) had failed miserably. Cristen told us what to do to the house, helped us set the price, and kept the little box full of flyers at all times. The house, which had been on the market for months, sold in a couple weeks after we brought Cris on board, and we netted about $100K. Then, about three years later, I was ready to buy my next house, so I went straight to Cristen this time. She showed me a ton of houses, and she was really good at noticing flaws that my starry eyes missed. When I finally found the right one, of course it was out of my price range. Cristen Lincoln to the rescue! She did a little detective work, and some excellent negotiating, and I ended up getting the house at a great price that was right in my budget. If I ever decide to move again, or win the lottery and just feel like buying more houses, I'll be calling Cristen Lincoln right away. Buying/selling a house is a huge deal, and having a great agent that I can trust is everything. If you've ever dealt with real estate agents, then you know how hard it is to find an honest one who actually has your best interest at heart; I'm so glad I finally found mine!

Now that we’ve been in Portland a year, I wanted to let you know how happy we have been here.
The house has been wonderful, so much light from outside and expansive enough to accommodate the waves of visitors we had all summer. We had times of every bedroom filled and a tent full of kids in the backyard. Made us appreciate that we went for house "bigger than we needed." Even more than the house, we love our neighborhood. We've gotten to know people all around us (many sweet 30 somethings), shared gardening tips and produce, watched each others houses while away. Our police officer neighbor down the street says he's got neighborhood security under control. Joe adores riding his bike to work every day. He rode all last winter except for a handful of days. She was amazing. Her brain and heart were working 24 hours a day for us...I can honestly say I've never seen so much commitment to making a client happy before. She has great technical knowledge..during our searches and inspections she was constantly noticing plumbing, roofing and electrical issues that an untrained eye would never blink at. Emily is also very tech savvy, returns texts/calls with light speed and has a very good knowledge of the Portland area. Emily brings a bit of New York City/East Coast grit to the negotiating table.
