Congrats to Julia and Mark for taking the plunge and buying an amazing cottage at Classic Street. When they first walked in they knew this was the one! Built by Rick Bernard a Street of Dreams builder they loved the finishes and layout. It included a master both up and down, loft like area overlooking the main living space and had a nice private patio in the rear with hot tub bubbling. Adler cabinets, granite, skylights and beech floors added to the charm as well. With over 1,900 square feet this was more than a cottage having plenty of rooms for their daughters to invite friends to the beach too. All that was left to do was for the agents to make sure Mr. Racoon had moved out of the crawl space. While he did not want to give up his home, it was for a good cause and there were plenty of old growth trees in the neighborhood for him to take up new residence. He grew up in Ohio going to University of Toledo in order to get his BBA in accounting, and then to Western Michigan University for his MBA, but is happy to finally landed here, on the north Oregon coast. Dave worked in academic publishing and library information management industries for years making information available to wide audiences for decision making. During this time, he traveled the country extensively and lived in multiple cities, eventually stumbling across Oregon. He fell in love. Thirteen years ago he left San Francisco for the Pacific Northwest drawn by the beauty, clean beaches, outdoor adventures, and the relaxed spirit. The most important lesson Dave learned while traveling and relocating is that there is no place like a real home. Home is where we connect with friends, family, and community. Home is a sanctuary, allowing us to rejuvenate, grow, thrive, and celebrate life.
