An accountant and a chef walk into a home…

… And everything works out well!

Lately I have been blessed with a bevy of first time buyers. I love working with this segment as it requires more time spent explaining the ins and outs of the process, which means I get to spend more time getting to know them. Evelyn and Jonathan were first timers who were intimidated by rumors of a tough market (all true!) and not knowing what they didn’t know. After our initial meeting where I gave them the 101 on the home buying process, we spent an entire Saturday looking at 10 homes. Evelyn arrived with her own notebook with questions and space to take notes (accountant). Jonathan arrived with a cool t-shirt and a fantastic attitude (chef). Seeing that many homes in one day gave these two a really good idea of what they were looking for in a home. They wanted an open layout with lots of natural light, a decent-sized open living space, a nice kitchen with lots of counter space for meal prep and cooking, and a small yard for their dog. Many of the homes we saw had bits and pieces of their requirements, but they seemed too packed into neighborhoods and were just a little more outdated that they were hoping for.

It didn’t take too long before we came across a new development in Tigard by Sage built homes. This development has 4 bedroom floor plans that are perfect for Evelyn and Jonathan and their growing family (baby on the way!). The large kitchen has a generous island for meals prepped by a chef and tons of storage. With a bedroom on the main floor, it will be a perfect space for an office or play room for the little one. These homes also have generous yards, unlike many other new developments of this nature. Finally, the development includes a community garden for the homeowners to plant and harvest together, which couldn’t be any more perfect for Evelyn and Jonathan.

The process working with Sage Built Homes was very smooth. Their listing agent was wonderful to work with, the home was finished on time and they had the most organized walk through process I have ever seen from a builder. The inspection report was also the cleanest I have seen – and they were on top of all of the minor repairs right away, which really put my clients at ease. Evelyn and Jonathan are ready to move into their brand new home and couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!

I am in love with my job!

One of the things I love most about my work in real estate is that it never feels like "work" to me. After working as a merchandise manager for some top local apparel and home brands I found my way to real estate and I will never look back. I am that rare combination of business smarts with a creative side and my skills are well suited for real estate. I have the analytical background necessary to help buyers and sellers with numbers and negotiation, as well as the creative vision to help clients best prepare their home for sale, or pick out paint colors for their new home. I am passionate about understanding the needs of each client and will work hard to help you realize your goals. I am dedicated to being a complete resource for you before, during and after your home purchase or sale. One of the aspects of this process that I value the most is the relationship we will build. Buying or selling a home can be stressful and I am here to work though it all with you. As a native Oregonian, I have lived in the suburbs, NW Portland and NE Portland. I have worked in areas all over the city and have seen the changes to our area over the last 10+ years. When I am not at the office or out with clients, you can find me taking a barre3 class, hiking, enjoying family time, volunteering at a school and enjoying local theater arts. I currently reside in the Fox Hill neighborhood of Tualatin with my husband, Eric, and my darling kiddos, Chloe (age 7) and Everett (age 4).
