My clients are of the age where many of their friends and cohorts are focused on downsizing from the house they raised their children in. Many folks in their stage of life are looking for something smaller, simpler, something that won’t be much work… Well not these folks! Instead of a condo in town they are moving to 40 acres in Central Oregon. These buyers are ready and excited for their new adventure.
Representing the buyers of a farm property was a new adventure for me. To properly represent the buyers I enlisted the help of a local agent as co-broker who was knowledgeable about local issues as well as due diligence specific to farm property – water rights, irrigation, septic systems, wells, etc. Along with a big success for the buyers, it was a fun and worthwhile learning experience for me.

Prior to following his real estate dreams, Ian worked as a Business Analyst most recently for Strava, a GPS tracking service and social network for runners and cyclists. After hundred’s of DIY articles, YouTube videos, and trips to Home Depot, he ended up with a fantastically restored home. Fast-forward to today and Ian, with a partner, is now involved with rehabbing homes professionally.
