Cynthia Lindsey loves what she does. She commits to learning all she can about the interesting lives of her clients in order to help them fulfill their goals and dreams. She understands that buying and selling a home is a complex mixture of reason and emotion, and the dance required to navigate the “messiness” of this mixture is what makes it wonderful for her.
Cynthia is a natural teacher. She holds a masters degree in education and brings to real estate her invaluable experience as a former college administrator and advisor.
Her inner Jedi Master draws out the best in those around her. Whether it’s helping her clients gain more than they thought possible with a new home or her fellow colleagues whom she mentors towards success, Cynthia lives to serve others. It’s no wonder that her clientele is nearly 100% referral. She has helped her clients buy/and or sell all over the metro’s urban core for the past decade.
Having lived in Portland for over 35 years she is a fantastic guide to the pleasures of living in Portland. She happily shares her passion for mid-century and modern architecture, as well as Portland’s exciting urban condo market. When not working Cynthia can be found with a good book. She loves to read all sorts of things, suspense thrillers and historical sagas alike. But most close to her recreating heart is whiling away summer afternoons with her husband Eddie, friends and family on their beloved Rapscallion, a 37 foot sailing vessel.

What her clients are saying:
“I want to offer my first testimonial ever, for anything, for the great job Cynthia did with our house sale. It was a difficult sale, with a divorcing party, house renovations and repairs, and two different “seller personalities” to accommodate. She performed extensive market analysis to show the dollars and cents of each option and decision, dealt with two different styles and approaches to information and decision making, and helped create a great end sale product that met our goals for time on the market and price. Cynthia came highly recommended – I’m not easily impressed – and she exceeded expectations and blew me away.” – Seller: David S.
“After a very frustrating 6 months searching for a home in the Portland market, I was introduced to Cynthia through my Portland agent Lance Marrs. There was a home in Vancouver that they thought I should see and the rest is history…
Cynthia not only showed me the home but welcomed me as a potential new client while knowing my heart was in Portland. The house was beautiful but I didn’t end up making an offer since I was dead set on not crossing the river. Flash forward 6 months or so, and 6 failed offers in Portland and I got a text from Cynthia with a link to my new house. I never would have found it if she hadn’t seen it and thought of me. That’s the kind of person you want by your side in the emotional journey to becoming a homeowner whether it’s your fifth time, or your first time. She knows her market, and she is professional and approachable in every way. What an amazing experience from start to finish, and now I am officially a Washingtonian! Thank you Livingroom and thank you Cynthia!” – Buyer: Jenny R.“Cynthia helped my family find a home from 2200 miles away. From our very first phone call with her, we felt like we had an ally helping us on the other side of a cross-country move to Washington. She took time to understand what we were looking for, and coached us throughout the process with solid advice. She is licensed in both Washington and Oregon, which gave us flexibility to consider homes on both sides of the Columbia River. She is very bright, lovely to chat with during home visits, and inspired confidence in us throughout the process.” – Buyer: Sarah N.
“I cannot recommend Cynthia Lindsey highly enough. She is, quite simply, a lifesaver. I hired her as my broker to sell my father’s two properties after he passed away. It was such a stressful time, and I don’t live in the area so the thought of dealing with selling two houses from out of state was very daunting. Cynthia sailed in, took care of absolutely everything, and made both transactions not only incredibly easy, but shockingly fun! She is honest, clear, super communicative, and when there were bumps (there always are with sales!) she knew exactly how to move forward. I am eternally grateful to her.” – Seller: Emily M.
“It was our great fortune to have Cynthia as our realtor when my mother and I decided to move to Portland and later as our realtor for 2 multi-unit rental properties. Cynthia is a great guide because she is very up to date and knowledgeable about the Portland market, and knows the character of Portland neighborhoods. She brings enthusiasm and patience to the search, which keeps the buying process enjoyable. Cynthia is a solid advocate for her client while negotiating a sales price. Her experience and strong project management skills make the inspection process go very smoothly. We never had to worry about anything being overlooked. I gladly recommend Cynthia for anyone looking for a realtor in Portland, she is fantastic.” – Buyer: Cindy and Johanna Q.
