About Lents
Lents is one of Portland’s oldest neighborhoods, established in 1892 as the Town of Lent. Larger than most neighborhoods, it covers 3.75 square miles.
It is also one of the city’s most diverse communities, with Asian, Russian/Eastern European, and Latino immigrants. A recent Oregonian article described Lents as an area that is “yet to gentrify.” But that doesn’t mean the neighborhood isn’t grabbing national attention. In this article featured in Thrillist, Lents is pegged as one of the next neighborhoods to “blow up.”
