Local artists Christopher and Chrissy were looking for their first home. Christopher wanted a place to paint as well as produce animation. Chrissy wanted her own space as well. No more renting something so small with so many problems. She also needed a safe habitat for her pet snail. Chrissy once lost her snail only to find him later moving at a fast clip across the room. They were looking for a collection of spaces to accompany each different mood. Something they could make their own to provide them comfort, peace, and foster creativity. They were particular about the mood invoked from one area of a house to another. When we finally found what would ultimately become their new home, they were thrilled with the options. This home with its large workshop, spacious area in the basement and the calming yard were the ingredients of dreams. A charming cottage located in the diverse, active community of NE Portland, Chris and Chrissy will not be short on inspiration. Like a blank palette, the artists will be able to let their imaginations run wild as they take on their latest challenge.
