Beth Bonita’s approach to real estate is relationship based while incorporating her deep understanding and excitement for the Inner Portland communities she serves.

She is an experienced negotiator and will never apply a “one size fits all” approach to her work. She believes in each of her clients, and the home they own or are looking for, are unique and therefore deserve a customized approach that will result in her clients having a warm and fuzzy feeling about real estate. Beth is a deep listener and a diligent and an intuitive realtor, a combination that makes her truly talented at match making her clients wants and needs to the house they are excited to call home.

Beth loves design and beautiful homes but she also has the “vision” needed to help make a home look its’ best. When Beth is approached with the opportunity to market a client’s home, she relies on her market knowledge and background in Communication Design to give her clients an edge on the competition. Beth knows that along with the visual presentation, precise marketing and maximum exposure is key to success.

Beth is originally from Santa Barbara, California, where she spent many years immersed in rich architectural history and creative people, and as a realtor she naturally gravitates towards properties with character, history, and charm. She attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where she studied Communication Design and gained further exposure to various art forms, design, and art history in the melting pot that is New York City. She intentionally chose Portland as her forever home for it’s beautiful nature, vibrant city life, historic homes and neighborhoods, green lifestyle and the incredible food scene.

Beth's Testimonials

My fiancé and I recently went through the house buying process with Beth. To summarize the experience, I highly recommend her as a realtor. A few things to exemplify why you should work with her if you get the opportunity:

  • My fiancé and I were first time homebuyers, and thus a little nervous and hesitant to pull the trigger with reasonable offers for a while. Beth was extremely patient with us and never tried to rush us in any way.
  • The market we were buying in was a definite sellers market, making any competitive advantage important for a buyer. Beth was quick to respond to any email or text we sent, which was paramount in the rapidly moving market. She was also good at figuring out what the sellers really wanted in the offer (e.g. rent back if they wanted some extra time to move), giving us a little edge in our offers beyond just the numbers involved.
  • There were multiple houses that we were on the fence on whether to make an offer that we know in retrospect would have been wrong for us. Beth never pushed us to buy when she could have, and in a couple instances actually discouraged us from making bad offers- offers that would have likely ended our months long frustrating search and gotten her commission.
  • The house we did eventually end up buying was listed at way too high of a price. We had no idea of the true value, and were going to offer just under asking. Beth could have easily let us do this, but instead she told us that would be way too high for the value of the house and suggested we offer 25k less than what we intended. We did, and got the house, which saved us 25k and cost Beth $700 in commission.
Beth is a good realtor with integrity, tough combo to find.

Wow!. I needed someone I could trust and Beth was that and more, a blessing to be certain. After my brother passed away, I was responsible for everything related to his estate including the sale of his house in SE PDX and everything in it. Everything was a mess and Beth, being the do'er she is, really stepped up and went above and beyond in helping me push through it all. Her resourcefulness and her knowledge of the area is second to none and together as a team, we were able to sell the home very quickly and at a very fair price without having to even list it. There is no one else I would recommend or suggest... Thank you Beth, you really were/are a breath of fresh air and I appreciate everything you did through that whole ordeal. Simply Incredible!!!

Purchasing our first house seemed so daunting, but Beth helped us every step of the way and got us into a home we love. She was so patient with us and she never pushed for us to make an offer. She really listened to what we were looking for and helped us think through whether the houses we were looking at would really work for us. She worked really well with other realtors to get information and help us make well informed offers. She was also great at getting relevant comps and making sure we didn't overpay - when it would have been really easy to do so given this crazy Portland market! I will be recommending her to everyone I know. Thanks Beth!

Beth is a superb agent. The first offer my wife and I submitted was accepted (in NE Portland)! She alerted us to our new house the day it came on the market, and we had a deal in two days. Along with her professionalism, I was most impressed by her listening skills. She immediately grasped our wish list and helped us refine it while touring houses together. Her communication throughout the process was clear and immediate. She loves Portland real estate and definitely had our best interests in mind. We will absolutely use her again!

Beth is amazing. While house hunting she was in constant communication with us regarding any questions we had on the process or on particular properties. She was very supportive and always had our best interest in mind. Ultimately she was able to find us a home that had all of our must haves- and was in our dream area, something we didn't think was possible in our price range and in Portland's increasingly competitive market. Her ability to negotiate and the relationship she was able to build with the other agent ensured that of the 5 total offers on the house we had the best. I couldn't be happier.

Beth was amazing to work with!. She made the entire home-buying process incredibly easy. From her flexibility with our complicated schedule to show us homes, to helping us identify want we really wanted out of a house, to managing every single aspect of the close (negotiations, inspections, etc), she was wonderful each step of the way. She has very deep knowledge of the industry and market, and her expertise also assured us that we were always making the right decisions through the buying process. I highly recommend Beth to anyone looking for a new home-- I'd say that I would love to use her again, except she did such a great job and we love our new home so much and hope to not move for a VERY long time!
